It is reported that the series of ships were funded by CSIC and designed by SDARI. They were built by Hudong Zhonghua (4+2 ships) and Wenchong Shipyard (2+2 ships). In addition to the conventional monitoring and alarm functions, the cabin automation system integrates liquid level telemetry and a number of auxiliary machine control functions such as pump control, valve control, and control of PMS, boiler, air compressor and ballast water treatment system. The system needs to process about 2000 I/Os, of which 1,300 I/Os come from the communication interfaces of 29 devices on board. The four 24-inch widescreen client terminals, which are located in the control room, cab and deck office, allow the crew to centrally monitor, centrally control and alarm the ship's turbine equipment through a customized 26 MIMIC simulation diagram. It is worth mentioning that this system also has mature remote communication function, which enables the onshore office to remotely access and remotely diagnose ship equipment information, and provide remote technical support for the crew.
