For a long time, the key components of chlorine gas and caustic soda, which are the key components of the electrolyzer, are basically dependent on the import of the perfluorinated membrane, which has become a bottleneck restricting the safe operation and healthy development of China's chlor-alkali industry. Supported by the national "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" and national "863" scientific and technological support program, Shanghai Jiaotong University and Dongyue Group jointly tackle the problem. Professor Zhang Yongming led the Dongyue Ion Membrane Scientific Research Team for more than ten years to make breakthroughs in the industrialization of home-made ion membranes. Professor Dong Lihua of Shanghai Maritime University cooperated with Shanghai Advanced Engineering Materials Co., Ltd. and successfully developed a phenolic foam-filled 3D fabric-reinforced composite material. The material has high strength, light weight, sound insulation, thermal insulation, fire protection and other properties, and can be widely used in the field of modern transportation equipment interior materials such as road passenger cars, high-speed trains, ships and commercial aircraft.
The Composite Materials Research Center of Shanghai University has conquered the key technologies for the preparation of glassy carbon and successfully prepared high-performance glassy carbon products. After the related products are put into use, they can replace imported products and meet the demand for high-performance glassy carbon in China's semiconductor, molten salt reactors, lithium-ion battery electrodes, artificial teeth and heart valves, etc. The economic and social benefits are obvious.
Prof. You Bo from Fudan University led the scientific research team to use the new smart NTC temperature sensing material to develop a resumable cable fire detection sensor with anti-electromagnetic interference and high alarm accuracy. This new achievement is expected to become the "life guardian" in the future fire.
