Mundelein Fire Department updates

• We're still waiting for our new engine to arrive, which was originally expected in November. However, based on the photos we've seen, it's looking very close to completion and we're hopeful it will be here by December.
• The tower ladder we recently purchased isn't fully operational yet, as we're wrapping up training on its use. That said, it has already been used on a few calls during driver training sessions. All the equipment is installed, but we're waiting for new signage to be added to the side of the ladder, and we're also upgrading the emergency lighting on the basket and the rear of the truck.
• I've attached a photo from a structure fire that occurred last month. The fire started in the fireplace area, and this is what the first-arriving units found upon arrival.

We’re excited about the progress on the new engine and the tower ladder, and we appreciate everyone’s patience as we work through the final details. It’s always great to see how our team responds in real situations, like the recent chimney fire. We’ll keep you updated as things move forward.
