Mundelein Fire Department updates

• We’re excited to share a few photos of our new fire engine. It didn’t arrive in November as we had hoped, but based on the images, it’s very close to being completed and we expect it by December.
• The tower ladder we purchased isn’t yet in full service because we're still wrapping up training on it. However, it has already responded to a couple of calls while department members were out on driver’s training. All the equipment is installed, but we’re waiting for the new signage to be placed on the side of the ladder. We're also upgrading the emergency lighting on the basket and the rear of the vehicle.
• I’ve attached a photo from a structure fire that occurred last month. The fire started in the fireplace area, and this is what the first-arriving units found upon arrival.

We’ve been keeping busy with preparations for the new equipment, and it's great to see things moving forward. The team is working hard to make sure everything is up to standard before the engine and tower ladder go into full service. It's always exciting to see progress, even if there are a few small delays along the way. Stay tuned for more updates soon!
