However, due to the complicated production process, the domestic market has been monopolized by foreign products for many years. For this reason, this product was included in the key scientific research projects of Fushun Petrochemical Company during the "10th Five-Year Plan" period.
The company's annual production capacity of 5,000 tons of industrialized test equipment is the first domestic device with independent intellectual property rights. In 2002, it successfully achieved a successful start of feeding material, but the product quality was low, mainly due to high haze (greater than 10%). The intensity is low (both between 20-24 Joules/meter) and it is difficult to compete with foreign high-end products. Haze and impact strength, respectively, as the index of transparency performance and impact performance, become the focus of research. After thousands of trials in three years, the company successfully explored improved process conditions for re-feeding of industrialized plants and finally determined the use of underwater pelletizing systems for industrial production. Through the commissioning test at the 5,000-ton/year industrialized experimental device, the target of haze and impact strength has been initially achieved, and other quality indicators are also equivalent to those of similar products in the world.
At present, the company is further improving the stable and continuous production of the device. Once it is officially put into operation, it is expected to end the history of China's styrene-butadiene transparent impact resin completely dependent on imports.
