Chicago Still & Box Alarm fire, 1-28-17 (part 3)

This is from Eric Haak:

The fire occurred around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2017. It was at a beautiful old home from the 1800s located at 45th and Ellis. I arrived just after the 5th Battalion had secured the area. From what I could see, the fire was mostly in the attic. The adjacent building was reported to be vacant and in poor condition, but the fire remained contained to the original structure.

The photos show the intensity of the situation, with thick smoke rising from the roof and firefighters working hard to contain the blaze. It's always amazing to see how quickly the crews respond and how they manage to keep the fire under control despite the challenges. These images really capture the effort and dedication of the Chicago Fire Department during this incident.
