Antioch, IL – April 13, 2018
A fire was reported at 25196 W. Rt. 173, at Whiskey Janes Bar. Upon arrival, there was moderate to heavy smoke coming from the entire building. The area is not hydranted, so command called for box alarms and brought in tenders from Lake Villa, Fox Lake, and Spring Grove. A ladder truck was also dispatched from Round Lake, and a squad unit from Newport. Fire crews quickly located the source of the fire, which had started in an HVAC unit, and successfully extinguished it with minimal damage.
