Some companies ignore the product quality in the production of valve products, and some reduce the cost and even cut corners, such as valve body wall thickness, self-modification wall thickness, plus there is no standard in the valve product shell quality The feasible quality standards and the original standards are also imperfect, which brings certain safety hazards to the valve safety devices. For this reason, the AQSIQ and the National Standards Committee drafted the “Standard Specification for Valve Housing Minimum Wall Thickness Requirements” last year. .

The implementation of the national standards for valve products of this department will become a mandatory requirement, so as to ensure the safety of product equipment and personnel.

It is understood that the wall thickness of the valve housing is a safety indicator for valve products and stipulates the wall thickness requirements of steel and iron valves, such as gate valves, globe valves, check valves, ball valves, and butterfly valves, which are applicable to the nominal pressures PN10 to PN760, respectively. Steel valves and nominal pressures PN1.0 to PN25 with a nominal size no greater than DN1250, and iron valves with a nominal size no greater than DN3000.
