The Shandong Provincial Energy Conservation, Emission Reduction and Elimination of Lagging Capacity Command pointed out that up to now, a total of 151 chemical and other enterprises in the province have shut down backward production capacity, of which 94 outdated production facilities for chemical and other enterprises have been dismantled. By the end of this year, it is expected that the closure of backward production capacity will achieve energy savings of 3.18 million tons of standard coal.
It is reported that in early July, the headquarters organized four groups to supervise the progress of elimination of outdated production capacity in the first half of the province's 17 cities in the first half of the year and went to all demolition sites for acceptance. The inspection results showed that six cities of Jinan, Qingdao, Jining, Tai'an, Weihai, and Rizhao have completed the task of eliminating backward production capacity in 2010; among the 70 chemical and other enterprises that were included in the plan to eliminate backward production capacity this year, 60 have achieved Closed, the remaining 10 are scheduled to close before September 30.
