Multi-nozzle Coal Water Slurry Gasification Technology to Become Mature

The large-scale multi-nozzle opposed coal-water slurry gasification technology developed jointly by East China University of Science and Technology and Yankuang Group Co., Ltd. won the bid for Anhui Huayi at the end of last year through fierce competition with many foreign coal gasification technologies. Chemical Co., Ltd. 600,000 tons/year methanol project. This is in accordance with the successful operation of the coal chemical demonstration unit of Yankuang Guotai Chemical Co., Ltd. for more than two years. The thirteenth companies adopted this technology, indicating that the technology is becoming mature.

In July 2005, the multi-nozzle opposed coal-water slurry gasification technology industrial demonstration plant and its supporting project were successfully fed once at Yankuang Guotai Chemical Co., Ltd., and the entire process flow was completed at one time. The industrialization was successfully achieved and the production was completed in the same year. After more than two years of industrial operation, it showed good performance and advanced process indicators. Compared with similar foreign technologies, this technology has the advantages of flexible operation, advanced technology indicators and stable system operation. It is especially suitable for large-scale (more than 10,000 tons of coal per day) gasification equipment, reasonable investment scale, and low patent licensing fees. This laid the foundation for the application of large-scale coal gasification technology in China. Cathay Pacific's demonstration project won the 2007 National Quality Engineering Gold Medal on January 5 this year.

The successful operation of the demonstration project marks that the technology has matured and has the strength to compete with similar foreign technologies. It has been recognized by more and more users. It has successively been with Shandong Hualu Hengsheng Chemical Co., Ltd. and Shenhua Ningmei Group. The company, Ningbo Wanhua Polyurethane Co., Ltd. and other 12 companies have applied for a total of 30 gasifiers (including spare furnaces), and the designed daily processing coal volume has reached more than 30,000 tons.

It is understood that many companies from the United States, Canada, India and other countries also have a keen interest in the technology, intends to use the technology to build large coal, petroleum coke gasification devices.
