(I) Protection against harmful gases
During electrical processing, very high temperatures are produced, which instantaneously melt the metal. Since the processing is performed in kerosene or oil, the gas and steam of the liquid medium continuously discharged in the air form bubbles that float on the surface of the liquid. When these bubbles burst at different distances from the tool electrodes, they become numerous smoke rises and scattered, and these bubbles contain metal minerals. For example, when electric processing is performed in kerosene, air is contaminated with kerosene vapor and oxides (carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide). In addition, metal mineral dust is released.
The dust formed in the electrical machining process mainly consists of the metal to be processed, the electrode material of the tool, and particles of various sizes and shapes of soot separated from the combustion of kerosene or engine oil. A small part of the dust is scattered on the surface of the liquid together with bubbles, and most of the dust settles at the bottom of the tank, so it needs to be regularly removed.
In order to remove harmful gases, local ventilation must be set up. The exhaust hood is the most effective method of exhaust at the local edge of the tank.
(ii) Protection of the epidermis from the influence of liquid media
When a processing part is installed in an oil tank using a liquid medium, the liquid medium contacts the worker's hand when the machine part is removed from the machine tool and the oil tank is cleaned, so that the skin pores are easily contaminated by the eroded metal dust and the elasticity of the skin is weakened. And there is a slight crack.
In order to protect the skin from cracks and prevent metal dust from penetrating into the pores of the skin, the hand must be applied with protective ointment to protect the skin.
On-line cutting machines have used emulsion instead of kerosene as a liquid medium.
Third, the safe operation of electric processing machine tools
1. Wear work clothes, cuffs, or cuffs when working. Lesbians should wear work caps and their hair should be stuffed into caps. 2. After starting up, check the voltage, oil pressure, and the indication of each meter. Otherwise, electricians should be promptly corrected. 3. The power must be turned off to load or unload the workpiece. 4. Do not touch the workpiece with your hands or conductor during processing. It is also not allowed to touch the switch or other electrical parts with wet hands. 5. When pumping, pay attention to the vacuum gauge index and do not exceed the vacuum rated voltage to avoid the explosion of the tubing. 6. Smoking and other open flames are strictly prohibited in the operating room. There should be a fire extinguisher around. 7. In the event of a fire, the power supply should be cut off immediately, and fired with dry carbon tetrachloride or dry sand. Water and foam fire extinguishers are strictly prohibited. The fire brigade should be reported to the rescue team in time. 8. When there is no one on site after work, power should be cut off.
