It is understood that the first batch of calcium carbide enterprises included in the list of eliminated backward production capacity were 83, 69 small-scale coke enterprises, and 228 production companies for soil coke, blue carbon and modified coke. The calcium carbide plants that have been eliminated are all open type calcium carbide furnaces and a single set of calcium carbide furnaces with a capacity of 6,300 kVA and below, with a total phase-out capacity of 570,000 tons. The coking plants that have been eliminated are all soil-coking units with less environmental protection standards and coke ovens with a carbonization chamber height of less than 4.3 meters. The total phase-out capacity is 10.76 million tons. The deadline for this phase-out is the end of this year. The elimination method is to dismantle and dispose of the equipment and eliminate the resurgence of fire.
