Recently, Norwegian Aker Solutions received an order for a deepwater drilling riser system from Daewoo Shipbuilding in Korea.
It is reported that the 10,000-foot deepwater drilling CLIP riser system will be built by Aker Solutions' factory in Malaysia and is expected to be delivered in November 2014.
The order is the second of two drilling riser system orders signed by the two parties in July 2011. Aker has delivered 16 drilling riser systems in the past 16 months.
