U.S. wants to introduce new vehicle fuel efficiency standards

U.S. wants to introduce new vehicle fuel efficiency standards According to overseas media reports, the U.S. government is preparing to review the Federal Motor Vehicle Fuel Efficiency Standard. This is the first time the United States has considered amending this standard since the impact of the oil crisis in 1970. The proposed amendment is mainly aimed at multi-purpose sports cars, pickups and minivans. Attempts to reduce their fuel consumption or increase their safety to occupants and others are two major topics that may be involved. In the previous report, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the United States once mentioned that the government hopes to increase the fuel efficiency of vehicles. It is reported that the government may have to implement more stringent fuel efficiency standards for large-scale multi-purpose sports vehicles (such as the Hummer H2 and Toyota Sequoia), and the fuel efficiency standards for small vehicles may be more relaxed.
