The basic requirements of flotation process for flotation machine

(1) aeration

In the froth flotation process, the bubble is not only the sorting interface for selective adhesion of various minerals, but also the carrier and carrier of the hydrophobic target mineral, so the flotation machine must be able to inhale or press a sufficient amount of air. It can be fully dispersed into a large number of moderately sized and evenly distributed bubbles in the slurry to provide a sufficient sorting interface and to provide suitable buoyancy.

(2) Stirring

a. Promote the suspension and even distribution of the ore particles in the flotation cell, especially to overcome and eliminate the stratification and sedimentation of the coarser ore particles, so that the ore particles and bubbles have sufficient contact opportunities.

b. The air flow in the flotation machine is caused to be divided into individual small bubbles and evenly distributed in the flotation tank.

c. Promote the dissolution and dispersion of certain poorly soluble agents.

(3) Make the bubbles have a proper long mineralization path and form a relatively stable foam zone.

In order to make the bubbles more fully mineralized, the movement of the bubbles in the slurry should have a proper length of mineralization or residence time in order to increase the chance of selective adhesion of the ore particles and bubbles, and to improve the effective utilization of the bubbles; Hydrophobic target minerals can float smoothly, forming a relatively stable foam zone on the surface of the ore, and mineralized bubbles in the foam layer can retain the hydrophobic minerals that have floated, while at the same time making those mechanical entrainments The gangue ore particles are scattered from the foam layer back to the slurry.

(4) Continuous operation and easy adjustment

The flotation machine for industrial production must ensure continuous feeding and discharging, and maintain the continuity of the production process to adapt to the continuous flow of the slurry during the mineral flotation production process. To this end, the flotation machine should have a mechanism for continuously receiving the slurry and timely and smooth discharge of the foam product and the product in the tank. In order to adjust the production process and control the flotation index, the flotation machine should also have a corresponding adjustment mechanism to adjust the level of the ore surface, the thickness of the foam layer and the flow velocity of the slurry.
