Still and Box Alarm fire in Chicago, 10-13-20

Here's a report from Chi-Town Fire Photos:

Just before midnight, Engine 76 arrived on the scene to find heavy fire burning in the rear of a three-story apartment building located at 1306-08 N Kildare Ave. Battalion 18 was on the scene and reported that crews encountered intense flames coming from the wood porches and several apartments on the second and third floors. A ladder truck from Squad 2 used its snorkel to deploy an elevated master stream as the fire reportedly spread through the roof. Despite the size of the fire, the responding units worked quickly and efficiently, managing what appeared to be a large fire in a short amount of time.

This incident highlights the dedication and skill of Chicago’s firefighters, who are often faced with challenging conditions in urban environments. The photos from Chi-Town Fire Photos give a powerful visual of the intensity of the blaze and the efforts made by the crews to bring it under control.
