Judging from the heavy truck segment market, 19 tons of heavy trucks with a total weight of ≤ 26 tons have the largest demand, with 3,537 units sold in August, a year-on-year increase of 93.49%, and a decrease of 8.70% from the previous month. In comparison, the growth rate of heavy-duty trucks with 26 tons of total weight ≤ 32 tons is even more pronounced. In August, the sales volume of heavy-duty trucks was 2880 vehicles, which represented a year-on-year increase of 188%, which also maintained an increase of 19.01% compared with the previous month. The sales volume of heavy-duty trucks with 14 tons <total weight ≤ 19 tons and total weight> 32 tons is relatively small. Among them, 924 heavy-duty trucks with 14 tons total weight ≤ 19 tons were sold, an increase of only 6.28% year-on-year, a decrease of 14.05% compared with the previous period, and the market demand was obviously insufficient; the heavy-duty trucks with a total weight of >32 tons sold 115 vehicles, representing a year-on-year increase. It reached 447.62%, an increase of 9.52% over the previous period.
In semi-trailer tractors, 25 tons of quasi-trailers with a total weight of ≤ 40 tons still dominated sales. In August, it sold 10,303 vehicles, an increase of 86.48% year-on-year, and a decrease of 5.26% from the previous month. Its sales accounted for 76.19% of the total sales of tractors semi-trailer in August. In addition, non-integrated heavy truck trucks sold 15,288 vehicles in August, an increase of 54.41% year-on-year, a decrease of 13.17% from the previous month.
Among the heavy truck companies, China National Heavy Duty Truck ranked the top of the industry with the highest sales of 8,488 vehicles in August. Its cumulative sales volume was 70,169 units, an increase of 71.15% year-on-year. FAW's cumulative sales of 68,494 vehicles fell to the second place, an increase of 60.43%. The third to sixth are Dongfeng (58493), Shaanxi Auto (39394), Futian (38908), and SAIC Iveco Hongyan (17796). Among them, Shaanxi Auto and Foton still maintained the momentum of rapid growth, with an increase of 85.55% and 110.88%, respectively.
