Units were dispatched to a reported structure fire at the specified location. Before arriving, the dispatch informed responding units that the fire was on the rear deck and had already been extinguished. Upon arrival, firefighters conducted an investigation and discovered that a smoldering fire from a planter box had fallen onto the rear balcony deck, igniting it. Firefighters removed a section of the deck board along with some trim and checked for any signs of fire extension. They then proceeded to hose down the area and fully extinguished the remaining embers.
Companies on scene included: Prospect Heights Engine 9, Tower 9, Engine 39, Battalion 9, and Engine 900. Wheeling Engine 23, Mobile Tower 13, and Mobile Apparatus 14 also responded.

The incident was quickly contained, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but initial findings suggest it was accidental. Residents in the area were advised to remain cautious and report any unusual smells or smoke. The fire department encourages homeowners to regularly check outdoor spaces, especially near decks and patios, for potential fire hazards like improperly stored materials or unattended flames.

It can be welded under the fourth-level wind force. As long as the wind speed does not exceed 8m/s, no protective measures need to be taken. It is especially suitable for Field construction work;
3. The arc penetrating power should be large, the molten drop should be in the form of jet transition, and the splash should be small;
4. It has excellent all-position vertical down welding operation process performance, and the operation process performance is good;
5. Good slag removal performance;
6. The deposited metal can also obtain high low temperature toughness under various harsh conditions such as low temperature and strong wind.
