Big Vinyl's "Master of the Rack"

In January, Dushanzi’s exhaled air flow was clearly visible, and Yu Yongqiang was busy dispatching walkie-talkies to dispatch various people. Looking up at mid-air, dozens of rack workers were wearing seat belts. At the height of tens of meters from the ground, a 6-meter-long, 20-kilometre iron frame rod was lifted vertically and held in place with legs and feet. Then fasten it to the joint accurately and quickly with a wrench and a coupler. The reporter pressed the stopwatch, even though it was difficult for the average person to perform on the ground. The so-called "Master of the Racking" actually used only 31 seconds.

"On the team, please send a shelf team to the propylene distillation tower."
"On the team, the 101-pipe steel structure needs the shelf team to install."
"In the team, the vinyl separation platform for the main gallery of the ethylene plant needs to be dismantled. Please send someone."
At Dushanzi Petrochemical’s one-million-ton ethylene site, Yu Yongqiang’s walkie-talkie of the Dushanzi Project Department of the China National Petroleum Corporation has heard the call contact sounds of different job sites from time to time...
Every day, Yu Yongqiang led more than 170 rack workers to walk between steel pipes. He was busy at every construction site of Da Vinci and erected a patchwork of safe and reliable steel frame structures with solid hands.
“Our shelf workers are apprentices for 3 years and have been allowed to take posts after undergoing rigorous medical examinations and training and obtaining special industry operation certificates.” Chen Peijian, manager of China Petroleum's Dushanzi project department, told reporters. During the installation of the Propylene Tower, the shelf workers must climb to an altitude of 107.9 meters to carry out operations, which is the "highest person" of the million tons of ethylene. It can be said that rackworkers are the most dangerous and hardest of the construction workers on the site. They seem to be simple tasks. Without sufficient courage and experience, there is no Superman skill and endurance that cannot be performed.
Due to the particularity of the work, the shelf team is required to adjust the height and structure of the steel frame at any time according to the site construction progress. After the completion of a project, the steel frame must be disassembled in time to prepare for the next new project. "Dismantling" has become the main theme of the shelf work. In washing towers, oil washing towers, and around high-density polyethylene, torch gas cabinets and other devices, shelf work has become a musical note between steel Frames.
It is these "masters" that have become the "highest person" and pioneer in the largest project in the domestic petrochemical industry, Dushanzi Petrochemical's one million tons of ethylene construction project. Without them, there will be less safety and protection for engineering construction.
As Xie Yongjiang, head of the shelf team technology, put it: “When the steel frame is set up, it is tied to the lives of many people. What we do is to live in conscience. There can be no luck or sloppy work at heights. Therefore, everyone puts steel frames on them. Think of it as building your own home.”
In fact, the "Masters of the scaffolding" built not only cold steel racks, they built the peace and happiness of all the workers.
